One of Drew’s better predictions when he asks the girl if she did ballet at age 4
A girl calls in who says she wants to get a tattoo but wants to go in messed up, like drunk or something, but she’s heard that if you do that you’ll bleed a lot more than you normally would.
Adam asks her what kind of tattoo she wants and she gives a very 2002 answer. She wants to get her name in Old English font. Adam and Drew laugh at her and ask where she wants it. She gives another very 2002 answer. She wants to get it on her lower back. This is before the “tramp stamp” became part of the lexicon and was thought of as a really cliched and trashy thing to get. It would be like some douche bag calling up in 1995 and saying with a completely straight face that he wants to get barbed wire tattooed around his bicep.
The guys give her some more shit about the tattoo being stupid and then tell her to get wasted and do whatever she wants.
Shortly after that call, a kid calls in and starts it off by saying “David Mancini here.” Drew cuts him off because he knows this trick. The caller has a friend/enemy named David Mancini and the caller wants to make a fool of him on the radio. Adam looks at the question he’s about to ask and it’s “is it predatory to go after a 15-year-old.” haha. Nice try caller. You’ll just have to get David Mancini back in some other fashion. Might I suggest filling his shampoo bottle with Nair?
Adam is having a little trouble tracking tonight. I don’t know if he’s just off his game because Drew is out of town or what, but as I’m writing this, I’m 30 minutes into the episode and Adam has already completely misunderstood two different caller’s explanations of their problems and then incorrectly criticized them for it. Normally it’s funny to hear him put people on hold and point out how many times they contradicted themselves, but in this case, it’s him. First he doesn’t understand that a female caller’s boyfriend wasn’t cheating on her, but had slept with his best friend (who is a girl) BEFORE their relationship started. Then he talks to a woman who says she had a good marriage before her husband left for the Persian Gulf (he’s in the Navy) but now he’s really verbally and emotionally abusive. Adam claims she said he became emotionally and verbally abusive before he left, which is not what she said. He says they need people who speak English to call the show. Most of the time he’s right about that. Tonight, at least so far, it’s him who’s not following what’s going on.
