This show is hysterical – Adam is full of churlish stories and talks about how he brought his infamous cranberries to Thanksgiving at his cousins in white trash land. He gets hassled by his cousin’s neighbor but doesn’t bitch as much as he usually does when similar events occur. He also tells some rando story about how he used to dumpster dive around the neighborhood on trash night (totally parentally approved) and used his mother’s cast off tampon applicator as a telescope to play pirates with. He also reveals that his sister used a vintage urine sample cup as her personal drinking vessel for several years until someone informed her that it was a urine receptacle in it’s former life.

I agree with LOTR – great callers, notably a poor caller at the end that was calling bc he was molested by his brother but Adam is too distracted by the novelty sounds coming from his 84 quart fish tank to help him.

A girl calls in around 15 minutes in to ask what Drew’s opinion of Dr. Laura is. Dr. Laura is apparently a bitchy hack of a woman on syndicated radio. I’ve never heard of the cow.

Anyway, Drew says he doesn’t listen to her enough to have an opinion but he’s troubled by people like her who present themselves as something they have no training in. She deals with mental health issues, but her doctorate is in physiology or…wait for it….geology. lol.

Adam chimes in with his dislike for any show where the hosts and callers have a mantra or catch phrase they repeat over and over.

Adam: “I always hate it when they call in and say ‘I’m the mother of my children.’ I don’t know what it means. Like you listen to Rush Limbaugh and people call in and they go ‘mega super dittos Rush!’ Or people call into Leykis and go ‘how ya doing Tom?’ and he’s like ‘do you carrreee?’ And then you call Dr. Laura and say ‘Dr. Laura I just want you to know I’m the father of my children.’ I just hate that repetitive crap on radio.”

Anderson: “Hey how about that asshole who says ‘Mahalo’ at the end of every show?”

    Drew: “Hahahahahahaha!”

Adam: “Bill? So what’s up with you?”

Bill: “Well, I’m having an affair with a married woman. After three weeks she says she’s falling in love. Now don’t get me wrong, I like this girl and everything but she’s only been married for two months and she’s starting to get a little psychotic on me.”

Adam: “Now, are you in a relationship?”

    Bill: “Other than this? No.”

Drew: “How’d you get involved with this?”

    Bill: “A co-worker.”

Drew: “Is anything going wrong with this marriage.”

Bill: “Well, she’s told me that he’s beat her a few times.”

Adam: “Well if he’s beating her and she wants out then why don’t you just tell her to end the relationship?”

Bill: “Because I don’t want to be seen as a home wrecker.”

Adam: “Well it’s too late there crowbar penis.”

First time I think the cranberry sauce recipe is mentioned. I remember it being said on the final episode. I was afraid drew would kind of avoid the Laura question but I’m glad he admitted his dislike for show doctors. A Few good stories and rants

This episode has one of the greatest examples of needing to dumb down language for the callers:

Drew: Is there an anatomical disproportion there?
    Caller: Huh?
Drew: Is there a mismatch in your anatomy?
Caller: Maybe, I have no idea.
    Adam: Are ya’ hung?
    Caller: Huh?
Adam: Do you have a BIG DICK?
    Caller: Yes.
    Adam: Ok… Jesus Christ…

At 9:36, Drew speaks to the dangers of Metabolife and other Ephedra- and ma huang-containing diet supplements (i.e. raises blood pressure, increases damage to lining of blood vessels), more than 4 years before they were banned by the FDA. Metabolife would go on to be linked to thousands of serious adverse events, including deaths. The company and its owner would later be convicted of concealing the evidence of thousands of adverse event reports, acting with “indifference to the health of consumers.”

  7. TrueStory

If caller Devin was a Sagittarius and born in 1982 then his birthday would be on the day he is calling here, which you think he would have mentioned or he would be 16 still. And not that there was any doubt but he was bogus for sure.
