While Adam is ranting about toast being served by a waitress AFTER the omelette at a diner,
Engineer Mike starts playing the theme music to “Seinfeld.”
This cracks Adam up. Adam immediately slips in Jerry Seinfeld voice:
“and why do they call it toast….”
A very surreal bit. Starts at around 54:00.

I had to google Thomas Lennon but you definitely have seen something that he is in – most notably most likely “Reno 911” or “The State.” He is pretty quiet compared to the roles he portrays.
Helena, some 44 year old formerly obese black lady with a novelty gravely man voice goes “Adam – you just make my monkey wiggle baby! You are a beautiful guy!!” This is just after the Seinfeld parody. Helena has lost 230 pounds in her lifetime – Adam was picturing her naked and Drew said it probably looks like a shar pei.
The next lady caller goes “Well if you make Helena’s monkey wiggle then you make my hippo dance!” to which Adam replies “(there is) A whole menagerie of animals going on in the panties of our listeners…..”
Around 12 minutes – Funny recap of Comedy Central’s upcoming season with the NEW host of the Daily Show, John Stewart. Also a nice plug for UCB.
Very unique guest… the manly sounding lady was good
Boring episode. Helena and opening call with a past caller were really the only interesting portions.
Drew is so smart, but when he starts talking about evolution, I swear he doesn’t understand how it works. That caller basically answered his question in two sentences, but he acts like evolution has some aim to improve the emotional health of a species and he just can’t understand how evolution can allow people to do something that’s not good for their individual long-term health. Guess that’s why he’s a good doctor and not a biologist.
