This is the episode in which Adam announces his departure.
Adam officially announces he’s leaving LL. These last few episodes make me sad ;____;
Also they go over the history of Loveline and all the hosts.
I think Adam was hinting as early as October that he was going to be leaving Loveline.
A girl calls in who works in a sandwich shop and is considering making a move on her 40-year-old married boss who owns the shop. At one point in her call she says she’s pretty hot, but it comes out weird, like “I’m really hawwt.”
Adam stops the call and reenacts the garbled way she spit that out. He then exaggerates it to create a scale of hotness. He says “she’s probably hot for a smaller market. In L.A. she’d just be hot. In Seattle (where she’s calling from) she’s hawwwurt. If she was in Idaho or Alaska she’d be like hacksssshhhaawwwwwwttt.”
“Hey Rachel, I don’t think hot’s a good word for you. You should start calling yourself attractive.”
Drew: “It’ll roll off your tongue better.”
I swear I heard something about his upcoming departure on a show from July or August
I think Adam claims he is leaving LL because of a new morning gig. I don’t think that ever worked out. He might have been under the impression that he would be on Howard Stern or something.

Really enjoyed Adam’s openness about his feelings for the show in the opening. In recent years we’ve found out more about the behind-the-scenes turbulence but you can tell he really loves the show.
Adam hinted to leaving as early as 2004. there’s an episode in January 2005, where he makes it clear he is looking for options… but starting in mid 2004 he starts dropping little remarks to callers about him not going to be there anymore. I bet there are at least 20 accounts.
