Show Summary:

Promoting the album The Wolf

Andrew starts by saying he is very, very, very, very, very glad to be back. Drew mentions Adam calls his true friends dear, dear, dear, dear, dear friends.

Adam makes fun of Drew for spitting out three syllables a show and getting paid the same as he does. He then brings up the time Drew said "But I'm a doctor!" and how he then asked who made more money, Drew or Sienfeld.

Adam goes on a graffiti rant and how Los Angeles is the "graffiti capital of the world."

They then brainstorm ways to prevent graffiti tagging. Adam comes up with putting a film or film coating over stop signs. When the sign gets tagged, the highway department just peels the film off and it's good as new.

Adam complains about the trailer that tells you how fast your going. The cops park it on the side of the road and the numbers will light up whatever speed your going. Everyone just floors it when they see one of those to see how fast they can go. Adam wants to know why the LAPD can spend thousands of dollars on the speedometer trailer when they "don't have enough men." He also wants to know why they're busting taxpayers for speeding and smoking on the beach when they should be fighting terrorism and checking cargo that comes in from shipyards.

Drew then brings up the Chicken "S" ticket he was written.

Adam and Andrew decide to bring back the saying "yeah, but still..."

Andrew tells of how when he was 15 he was allowed to sleep over at his girlfriend's house and her parents were cool with the whole thing.

The question comes up if Yogi Bear is disturbing because all he has is a collar.

A caller tells of how he was blinded bu a meth lab explosion. He was opening a thermos with a chemical in it and the thing blew up in his face. He had surgery but then went blind again because he relapsed. Now he is a drug counselor though.

The discussion of how drug dealers are actually very smart. They know their measurements of weight, how the legal system works and also a good deal about chemistry.

A dumb 13 year old calls in to tell Adam, Drew and Andrew how he watches certain cartoons and wants to know if they watch them as well. That makes Adam complain about the phone screening.

Andrew talks about not washing his clothes while he is on tour.

Adam mentions that Dennis Miller brought his kids into the studio earlier in the show. Apparently the older one was a big fan.

Adam’s graffiti rant was awesome. He talks also about how concerned LAPD is about speeding when ironically traffic is very congested. The caller who was blinded by a meth lab explosion told a very insightful story of just how deep and intense addicition can be to a person. In the batch of calls following the meth lab call, the two callers that infuriate Adam were hilarious!! Adam said he is going to give a tape of this show to the higher ups on the show , who are always on him “take more calls”. Adam says ‘ I’m funny, Drew is a doctor, and Andrew is a rock star , we could do the show without the callers screw the callers !—- I laughed wicked hard !!!

I like this one, horrible callers but Adam is funny, Andrew is weird and generally funny and they make fun of the few callers they manage to talk to in a good way.

Especially when 13 year old Jacob calls in to tell them all of the cartoons he is a huge fan of. To which Adam replies “Where do you think we are? Your home room? I am 40 for Christ sake.”

Hm, Dennis Miller’s kids were in the studio this night. I wonder why he never came on the show though. He would have made a great guest, even on Carolla’s podcast now. He should go on sometime.

Matt 0:33:20 Caller of the Night in my opinion. They spent a lot of time with him, he’s suprisingly well put together and has a good story.

Drew asks the a caller who was left blind after a meth explosion if he got swooped up by organized crime, intense call, just reminded me of Breaking Bad in a way.

I sometimes find it irritating where Adam uses the show to channel his frustrations about mundane things. Being an European, it’s not too interesting to listen to him babble about L.A. traffic and graffiti for 15 minutes straight…

Call from the blind dude is wonderful.

  7. HateSquiggle

Andrew is a great guest, you can tell he enjoys the show. Crazy call with a blind meth guy, followed by a kid that calls to say he likes cartoons haha. The whole nocturnal emission conversation was intriguing. Anderson never beat off at that point wtf, damn sweet threesomes

Lackluster opening rant about graffiti and traffic (almost 20 minutes!) but picks up after that. I don’t know why Adam got rid of the blind meth guy, he was super interesting and smart, the most fascinating call in a long time. And the next two callers were duds.

Meth-chemical explosion left him blind, became blind meth cook, went to prison, and SO much more. No question, just CRAZY life-story.

Bizarre call from young Jacob who is a "Huge Fan", but actually of 4 TV shows he rattles off and wants to know if they like those shows too.
