Living End seem like pricks at first but then they get drunk and chill out. Bands that laugh at Adam’s jokes are always better.
great show, great band, who make great guests. adams funny, anderson does some great subtle drops
I didn’t find the Living End to be pricks. I thought they were pretty game for the whole show. Definitely got drunker/looser as the show went on.
Great guests, they riff with adam well. I always like the international guests…… Aussies are especially good lol
Living end we’re good guests. They got more comfortable the more they drank. But someone was wearing a leather jacket and it got obnoxious throughout the show!
Sleeper five star show. Aussies are always good guests.
Adam has a super cringy antisemitic bit in the first segment. Later, caller Cookie helped save people from a fiery car crash and puns ensue.
the amount of antisemitism (that wasn’t really considered antisemitism back then) and times Adam says the N word is unreal. like they can’t say “shit” and are incredulous when a caller says “shit” but Adam says the N word and Anderson drops it in non stop. the early 2000s was a hell of an era. I wonder if Adam now would consider what he said all the time about Jews to be antisemitic? Or he would use the Kanye defence and say, “saying all Jews are wealthy isn’t antisemitic.”
I am a huge Living End fan. Never knew they were on Loveline. Decent episode, little boring. Wish Chris had talked about his car accident when we heard those accident stories. He nearly died. If anyone was confused by why Andy had never been there, the original drummer Trav Demsey had left after Roll On. I think losing Trav made the drums on their records less interesting. Also glad to see the joking around at the beginning, people are too up tight now.
