Show Summary:

Adam and Drew start the 1st show in the new KROQ studio on kind of a sullen note, they both comment on it and try and pick up the pace.
Adam tells the story of finding a Tarantula in his driveway earlier in the day and how he put in a bucket in his garage, so much funny stuff.
1st caller of the night is Mary Carey, the porn star later of Celeb Rehab fame at this time both Adam and Drew are unaware of who she is, this is right before or right at the beginning of her run for governor of L.A., they put her on hold because she is unable to respond.
Adam goes off on how its impossible they could get a clean call for the 1st one at the new studio, of course its already bumpy to begin with and they have to get a crappy connection on the first call.
They speak to Mary Carey later in the show for quite some time, it's odd Dr.Drew tells her all the same stuff he told her 4yrs later on celebrity rehab, she tells of her appearances on Howard Stern and her family, Drew is genuinely concerned for her grandmother and wants to report Mary.
The band gets a call regarding illegal downloading of their music.
Caller Sarah starts off on the wrong foot by correcting Adam and she has an interesting cadence, so Adam begins f'ing with her copying her cadence and cracking the band up, the guys from the band are loveline vets and they really dig Adam's humor.
Drew immediately smells the bogosity of her call and says she is Miriam but she pretends not to hear when asked if she is Miriam and then lies, she once again breaks the Geneva Convention of Bogosity.
Adam "I'd like to build a time machine and put a bullet in her head"
Band "whoooaaaa!"
Adam goes off on a extended "send a message to the fat cats in Washington" that goes on throughout the rest of the show, the band loves it and riffs along with Adam and Drew, Drew breaks down the process for nominating someone for Governor in detail perhaps this what informed Mary Carey and caused her to run a campaign.
Adam and Drew really have great time riffing on Adam as Governor hilarious stuff.
1st night of the Tarantula drama.

This show is a gem. Adam is on fire.
Great show. Tarantula story is hilarious. Mary Cary call is shocking and compelling. Band discusses online piracy, interesting in light of recent SOPA business.
You’d think Adam would have heard of Mary Cary, porn aficionado that he is. Good episode, though.
Holy Shit! Thats me! I totally forgot I called Loveline when I was a kid. Asking about piracy. God I was dumb.
For me, this is a really great show, maybe the best without a crazy or epic call/guest. Adam seems to get on really well with the band who are quick to laugh and seem to understand the show dynamics and jump in often.
Everyone is firing and engaged.

Adam buys her stiry completely, Drew calls bogus consistently but still gives her advice on the air for some reason.
Listen to the end of the call and compare it to the very beginning of the call — very different voice. I think it was bogus.
I would have to say this is THE best episode of 2003 (so far). Great callers.
Drew even inserts jokes in the middle of Adam’s diatribes without provoking his wrath. I don’t know if it’s the new studio or what, but I haven’t laughed out loud at a loveline episode like since since the DAG peanut butter shag carpet/barf drop episode.
