BJ’s snoring is behind every call until the end of the show. One of the best snoring callers on loveline.
Guests for the first half only. I think that was the plan from the beginning, only Adam says “I’m kicking them out” rather than “Our guests have to leave.” (If Adam had actually ordered them to leave, we would have heard some reaction from either the guests or Drew.)

I usually only listen to the “no guest” shows because Adam can roam free in his natural habitat and isn’t stepped on by the guests. This episode is an exception.
I’ve heard Adam and Drew talk about this guest a few different times and how angry he/she was and how they finally kicked him out of the studio. Finally they talked about it so much on the 2/13/2005 show that I had to come back and give it a listen.
I can definitely see why Rene, the transgender guest, seems a bit perturbed. Adam is somewhat standoffish right from the jump. Not to mention, his views on transgenders being nutcases are well known. I have to imagine Rene came into the studio with a chip on his/her shoulder because of Adam’s previous comments.
Having said all that……Rene is definitely a dick. “Nobody’s my hero but Jesus.” Wowzers, that was a random answer to a totally benign, non-standoffish question. The first time Adam has to ask if he’s angry about something is when Rene gives a defensive answer to his question about whether he/she pays the male or female rate for car insurance. He takes offense to the question thinking it’s a condescending joke, but in reality it’s just the same kind of stuff Adam’s inquisitive brain comes up with on a regular basis.
I love how Adam is just bold and says, “are you angry? You seem a little pissed!”
“Just trying to help you get a break in your car insurance!”
rene is so damn annoying

This one is really hard to listen to; the guest, Rene, hardly has anything to say besides their story and defending LGBT communities. The doctor has some kind of wacky views on gender reassignment, and Rene is a prime example of just how pretentious and one-dimensional transsexual individuals can be and shows exactly why smart people like Adam can’t stand them, and they weren’t contributing anything anyway except for the same dumb opinions, so Adam refuses to deal with them anymore like a hero and a cultural treasure.
However, BJ’s snoring during the last third of the show more than made up for it; “I hope he didn’t inhale the phone, it sounds like we’re in his esophagus.”
This is an extremely bipolar type of episode. Up until like 45:00 that episode is shit that with most unlikable tranny on earth. The second half is completely different with the funniest snoring call that I’ve heard yet XD

Interesting guests, Renee is very angry and Carolla can feel it like all of us. I laughed out loud when she said “nobody’s my hero except Jesus Christ.” Adam eventually throws them out and moves on with the show. BJs sleeping call is the loudest ever, it’s like the phones in his mouth.
Thought I recognized this name… Dr. Bruce Hensel was arrested on Wednesday morning after he asked a 9-year-old girl to send him sexually suggestive picture. Yikes.
I don’t blame Rene for being standoffish assuming he was familiar with Adam’s previous comments — they are extremely harsh and cruel. That said, Adam was actually polite and open-minded by his standards this show. It could have been a total train wreck.
Also, whenever the guys stumble on someone sleeping, they have to comment about how the person is overweight, has breathing problems, etc., when the caller sounds like a perfectly normal person sleeping.
