Adam shares a story about Jimmy Kimmels cousin Sal who tried to return a bag of doritos to a 7/11 after taking a crap in them. This is prompted by a caller who learns of a 9 year old who tried to get his mother to drink pee out of a dixie cup. Adam dismisses this behavior as a practical joke.
1:19:00 Lightning round begins (time and temperature) and continues until the end of the show. Drew desperately tries to answer callers but to no avail.
Drew actually participates in the Lightning round.
Audio quality is 10/10, although Drew and Adam complain there is a buzz in their headphones. This leads Adam to go on a short rant about the constant buzzing when he listens to AM radio.
Within the first half hour, several calls are taken. At the 24:15 mark, there is a pretty interesting call. Nat’s mom recently died from Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Drew explains what it is and how it usual comes about. At 32:05, a couple calls and they start talking about what she likes to do to him in the bedroom. This leads to a Adam and Drew to focus their attention on her and figure out why she is a little nutty.
Adam declares lightning round at 45:50.
Overall, the show is 9/10. There are a lot of calls, and a lot of unique calls at that. The lightning round is always a good time.
A guy calls in who tells a story about a misadventure he had when he was 11-years-old. He says he was masturbating in his room, when all of a sudden, his step-mother and step-sister burst into his room and jumped on him. He said all he could do was turn over onto his stomach, and that when they jumped on him he heard a snap. He says he found out later that he tore the ligament in his unit.
He gets around to saying that they probably knew what he was doing in there since he usually got home around 45 minutes before they did. ??? I don’t know.
Drew: “Uh, by the way, parents who know their sons are doing this are not BURSTING into their rooms and jumping on them, by the way.”
Adam: “HA! That’s what I love about people. They have zero clue about other peoples’ motivations. Yeah I’m sure it was like ‘hey, I’m gonna grab my 7-year-old daughter and jump on this guy that’s beating off, see if we can’t fracture his penis.'”
About an hour and 30 minutes in, Adam stumbles upon the precursor to what would later become his “yeah, but still” idea.
Engineer Anderson claims that the buzzing sound from AM radio is simply engine noise. When Adam pushes, Anderson claims that he’s not a real engineer.
A nice feel good episode with plenty of dumb callers.
Omfg the call about the guy who got caught masturbating at age 11 is hilarious. This is a great no guest show.
