Adam is the only person I know of from anywhere, that uses the words ‘thong back’, and ‘underpants’, no person in the world uses either one, and he uses both like it’s a personal goal to use them as much as possible, at every opportunity, and he builds momentum, and keeps saying then over and over and over and over and over…it’s SO incredibly odd, and there’s something to it that no one will probably ever know, some strange association from his youth, just notice how he keeps repeating them, and it’s like that over all his years of broadcasting, it really is annoying

haha, yeah that always stuck out for me too. I don’t begrudge anyone their own little pronunciations or wording of things, but Adam definitely has his own unique terminology for shit. Particularly “thong back,” “underpants,” and one you forgot, which is “hypothesees” when he means hypothesis. I just commented about the prevalent arrogance of arbitrarily correcting people on their use of certain words like “ironic,” and that’s why I’m bumfuzzled that nobody–particularly Drew–hasn’t corrected him on that in the YEARS that he’s been saying it. Not a guest, not Drew, not producer Ann, not Anderson, not a bitchy female caller with a bug up her ass, not a program director, not anybody.
damn, i’m not sure Brooke was too into Adam. Reminds me of the Victoria Silvstedt show, except Victoria could handle Adam.
