Show starts off with Adam advising the youth of America that speeding and driving recklessly is an effective way to get somewhere faster. The first call features Adam talking about his invention the “Love Gromit”. Over all a good episode.
Lots of incoherent callers tonight. There’s also a great bogus call where a kid says he accidently knocked up his friend. She gets on the line and helps out the bogus caller and does a pretty good acting job.
Three things Adam wants to bring back:
1. Shake your head and say of someone else “it takes all kinds.”
2. If someone is going fast, you must refer to it as “booking.”
3. And of course, “to the tune of.”
The rarely heard Damien shows up around 33:30. He sounds like he is constantly buffering the way he talks.
great show. props to Anderson for being on top of the drops. last couple of shows, Anderson is on it.
Good episode. Lots of dumb callers and a fairly successful elaborate hoax call.
The Lisa/Jason call is one of those calls where the callers are spinning a certain narrative and Adam/Drew have a different understanding of what’s happening. Jason believes he’s the dad, Lisa doesn’t have any idea. Lisa find out the boy she’s been dating, never thought she had ever slept with, took her virginity, is the one that got her pregnant. For some reason, Drew has a tough time wrapping his head around why that’s not a “good thing.” Very frustrating to listen to. But the callers were not quite getting the whole story across. Don’t believe it’s bogus, too complicated and the hosts just don’t understand what’s happening.
If you like yourself some really god damn stupid callers look no further
