Funny irony in this show: Adam is complaining about people that buy internet domain names with the names of famous people in hopes of selling it back to them, he then says “..some guy bought my name .com and what an idiot, I won’t buy it back from him. He’s gonna own that domain name forever; I will NEVER start anything on the internet with my name attached to it”.

Band is actually pretty witty and upbeat; their bio lists the Loveline guest spot as a “life-long dream” of theirs, so maybe that accounts for the good chemistry with the hosts.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Adam do a less convincing job of pretending to like the band’s music, though.

  3. Lateralus

The band is actually pretty funny. They’re kind of like kids who are happy to be there. Also it might be my inner white girl kicking in but I do enjoy their music, if you like blink 182 (who they tour with) you’ll like this. And it really is funny to hear Adam say he will never get his name and the guy will keep it forever, just typed in the URL and there it is XD. Wonder how much he payed the guy, and if he heard Adam talking trash. That does suck though, ppl buying your name

  4. BoringBit

I actually thought the band was annoying. They often made no sense, and barely cared about making sense. They’d make fart sounds for no reason. During one call that had to do with a dream, a band member just said “bears will not kill you.” It had to take two people to ask him what he was talking about for him to explain that bears in your dreams would not kill you and that his girlfriend was dreaming of bears. It’s one of those episodes where the guests just want to sound cool and indifferent instead of actually being witty and engaging.

Adam’s observation about dorks with big dorks is so spot on….I smacked myself when he said “hair parted down the middle (did it), windbreaker (had em), knowledge of Star Trek (3 for 3!). Funny AF. I never get over how in tune these guys were with the flow of our society as a whole.
