This is a great show on a number of levels. First of all, it’s the only source of the off-air audio of the infamous Pennywise episode the other night. Secondly, Ben Folds and Robert Sledge are great guests all around.

More pennywise stuff. It seems like The band wasnt expecting to laugh but ended up enjoying the show. Good stuff
Ben Folds comes in as Adam and Drew are discussing the hostage situation from the night before when Fletcher from Pennywise barricaded the door and claimed he had a live hand grenade and that nobody was getting out alive.
Ben: “Let me tell you one thing about Pennywise. Four chords, four guys.”
Another band member: “And a hundred t-shirts.”
Ben: “Hundred t-shirts, ten songs.”
Adam: “Alright, don’t piss them off, that’s all I’m saying.”
Later, Adam comes back from a break a couple seconds late and Drew asks him if he absolutely must practice that addiction every night. Apparently Adam had just hopped out for a quick smoke. They go back and forth like a married couple for a few seconds about it with Drew pleading with Adam that he really smokes a lot (like a concerned wife) and Adam saying that it was only his second cigarette that day (like a husband who wishes his wife would get off his ass).
All the guys in the room seem very important as they discuss their respective itineraries for that day. Ben Folds has just come from an appearance on Leno, Drew has just come from an appearance of Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, and Adam has just come from the Playboy Mansion. He took a tour of the Grotto, which prompts Drew to say “we already did that together once.” Adam replies that when you’re in France, you go to the Louvre. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been there before.
A girl calls in who has enormous boobs and has questions about breast reduction and the resulting scarring. Drew says that she’s only 18 and asks why she’s so focused on this stuff. She says she has back pain, clothing issues, and some personal relationship stuff. He asks her to elaborate and she says it’s hard for guys to get close to me.
Drew: “Why is it hard for guys to get close to you?”
Adam: “Because she’s got three feet of breasts in between them.”
Solid episode from beginning to end. Other than taking that early shot at Pennywise, the guys from Ben Folds don’t add much.
So odd hearing the radio-edited opening lyric of Ben Folds Five’s “Army.”

Kind of funny discussion about Ricky Martin. Adam’s talking about how much ass he must get. I guess this is before everyone knew he was gay.
