The guests are on air to promote a short lived American version of Fawlty Towers called “Payne.” The guests don’t talk too often during calls, but they laugh a lot and get along well with Adam and Drew throughout the show.
This episode peaks early, with Adam’s cyst being popped earlier into show. This happens in two steps: the first, when the xylocaine is administered, happens at 0:02:45; the cyst itself is drained around 0:09:00 – between and after Adam has second thoughts about the procedure and is in nagging pain.

Female caller about 1:13:00 is told by Drew that marijuana is worse than cigarettes while pregnant. Stands out because I distinctly remember Drew in a much later episode advising a different pregnant woman with no appetite to smoke as much as she wants, it’s not harmful and helps her and the baby
Wdf1987, you realize that was one of Drew’s “Faaaantasy Answers,” right?
I’m pretty sure he repeats it the next night and it wasn’t a fantasy answer, but I could be wrong. Drew has changed his tune on marijuana many times though, whether this is the best example or not, I dono.
He is for marijuana legalization but would never seriously condone it for pregnant women.
I swear to god drew told a pregnant woman it’s ok to smoke weed to get hungry. She called in saying she smokes already as it’s the only way she could eat since she got pregnant. Drew then says he knows of no ill effects of smoking weed while pregnant and tells her, for the baby’s sake, to continue smoking if it helps
@Wdf1987, for proof that Drew is not OK with pregnant women smoking weed, listen to the 1998-12-30 show, at about 1h 5m. A guy thinks his pregnant wife may be smoking pot and Drew gets *very* angry that the guy hasn’t already forced her to stop.

Stupid boring calls and the guests are idiots. Drew asking an idiot kid about the morning after pill goes as well as anyone with common sense could expect -IE Drew never saw it coming- right after he asks a pharmacist about what kinda pill he stocks…. Yet again proving Adam’s point about Drew being clueless about radio.
The guests were charming and likable enough. Strange start though with Adam having a cyst on his hand popped in front of the guests and grossing them all out.
