Guest: Peta Wilson & Larry Flynt

Host: Adam, Dr. Drew

Show Summary:

Guests are Peta Wilson and Larry Flynt. Some issues with the microphone when Larry enters the studio. Drew and Adam discuss bounty for evidence of corruption or immoral behavior by members of Congress that Mr. Flynt has offered, discussion about whether use of prostitutes by politicians is immoral, and Larry's surgically placed penis pump.

Adam is definitely angry at Drew when Peta leaves, and is angry that she is talking while he's trying to take the first call. Unlike his normal "fake" anger at Drew that has a jocular tone, this is for real. He even scolds Peta for talking as she's leaving. Uncomfortable! We really need the first part of the show!

Calls include a guy on coke who hits his girlfriend, a guy whose girlfriend finds out he had group sex, a woman who wants to be in Hustler, discussion of where new Hustler stores will be opened, and some discussion about drugs and addiction vs. dependency, including Larry's pain medication addiction.

It’s not clear from the description, but at about 10 minutes into the show there is a gap of about 30 minutes. It’s right after Drew’s wife calls in and her and Peta are all gooey for each other. It seems like the show cuts out right where Drew would be getting pissed. BUMMER!

Also, there is another 10 minutes or so missing around the middle of the 2nd half of the show (Larry’s half). IMO, this was not his best LoveLine interview. A couple times they alluded to a previous appearance by Larry (the one where Adam gets his subscription to his beloved Busty magazine). I can’t find the show anywhere, but if this is the show I’m thinking of, it was a better interview with Larry.

That gap was due to a Mexican ranchero music radio station bleeding over with a super strong signal and taking over the recording for Susan’s call. There’s a Larry Flynt segment in a “Best of” show from 1998, can’t remember if they discuss the magazine then or not…

I’ve been a scholar of the show for many years and I’d say this is one of the most interesting shows I’ve listened to. The show begins with Drew’s wife (or Drewina as DAG calls her) voicing a LOT of admiration for Nikita. This fires Drew up in a way I haven’t seen, and compels him to compete with Adam for her attention. Combine that with Adam’s natural interest in the woman because of her looks, and you’ve got a real verbal sparring match on your hands.

Drew was pretty different. Was kinda bitter toward her and I think caught himself and that’s where the “She’s the best guest thing came from.” He kinda pushed for her to leave and it got Adam mad because she left kind of in the middle of the segment. 5 min before break actually. Larry is his usual hard to understand but still interesting self. Very weird energy show idk if I liked it

This site does not disappoint when it comes to blowing situations out of proportion. Yes Adam did get annoyed when Peta left but he was not angry and did not explode the way you all made it seem to be. Thanks for once again disappointing.
