Guest: The Verve Pipe

Host: Adam, Dr. Drew

Listen to theShow

Show Summary:

Adam can't orgasm while raping someone.

Drew claims that many of his colleagues believe one cannot properly conceptualize reality unless you have studied calculus.

The recording is very high quality for a show this old.

The band are very lighthearted funny guys and never step on Adam's humor or stories,

Later in the show they sing an a capella version of Cheap Trick's "Surrender".

They play The Verve Pipe's hit song "Freshman" and a clip from Drew on the show "Leeza" this episode is very '97.

This is Dr. Drew's first show back since his infamous trip to Honolulu where he met the band Rilo Kiley (one of my favorite bands) who had just performed in front of a less than enthusiastic crowd and have never since returned to this horrible Island(Fu*k Hawaii).

Fittingly Drew does not bring up this story and only later recounts it with the band during a 2007 Loveline appearance (I know, Stryker sucks).

@roboy That’s MxPx “Destroyed By You.” The intro is made up of that song and their other song “Sometimes You Have to Ask Yourself.” They did the music for the closing too, the song “Move to Bremerton,” is used there.

Thanks a lot unclepenny! You rock dude – thanks for uploading shows on here too – couldn’t get through a day of work without listening to some Adam and Drew!

Drew: “That’s terribly courageous of you…” C’mon Drew, gettin’ a little crazy w/ the adjectives lol …”incredibly” would have sufficed. He uses “terribly” way too much, even when it doesn’t make sense.
