A girl calls in early on about being bored with her boyfriend/sex life. Of course Adam takes it upon himself to explain why:
“Because he’s a guy and he’s a pig and he’s lethargic, and that’s how guys work. They settle in, they get into their comfort zone, they fold back the chair, they heat up the TV dinner, they turn up the ball game. They crack the beer, they put their hands down their shorts, and they call it a life.”

Best OF CLL #53 from December of 1995
Anyone know the bumper song at 21:53? I could swear I’ve heard it, and it sounds typical of several 90s grunge bands, but I’ve failed to identify it.
Also, good show. Callers are mostly articulate and Adam seems positive to the point of putting on an affect, which seems to be typical of the early shows. None of the calls are really outstanding, but there is an unusual one at 1:01:41.
This is first show (I think there were one or two others later) where Adam posits the hypothetical question of whether you’d rather have sex with the most repulsive person at your work or school, and not have anyone know about it, OR not have sex with them and have everyone assume that you did. Drew is very chagrined.
